Its more than a music event ~ its our way of bringing people together in a family-friendly, all-inclusive event to enjoy each others company, relax in the warm Olalla sunshine and listen to some of the finest acoustic music youll hear anywhere.
Join our team!
Olalla Americana Music Festival is totally and completely run by volunteers and we need your help! We invite you to join our circle and be part of the fun. It is your participation that makes this magical event happen.
Here is just a sample of volunteer opportunities:
Staff members with professional skills like writing, graphic design, and community development interest.
Social Media whiz – Want to help promote the festival on Facebook, Twitter, Redit and other new-fangled communication wonders? We need you!
Volunteer coordinator ~ We need a well-organized, friendly person to welcome new volunteers and link them to the tasks that match their skills and interests.
Festival set-up ~ Help us set up all the canopies, mark the vendor spaces and all the other important, behind-the-scenes tasks that turn the ballfield into a colorful, people-friendly festival site. (Well reward you with pizza ~ and hero points!)
Stage decorations – do you or your friends & neighbors grow flowers? Donate a bouquet or two to decorate the stage.
Balloon arch ~ Come early on festival day and help us create the beautiful balloon arch that flies above the stage. (This is a good service project for a high school club or social organization. Cheerleaders? Key Club? Band boosters? Church group? Lend us your hands.)
Pies! ~ Bake a berry pie for the Pie Contest. Or just bring a pie to sell. Proceeds help support the festivals outreach work in the community.
Sunday Clean-up crew ~ Here’s an opportunity to earn a whole months worth of Hero Points in one morning! Help us tear-down and re-pack all our festival gear and clean-up the ballfield on Sunday morning. This is one of our biggest needs every year. We really, really, REALLY love our clean-up crew (and we reward you with muffins & juice)!
There are lots of other ways to help and every one of them gives you a positive experience in our ever growing community!
